Rapha Rides

For all you Raphafarians out there it's time to get your bike looking its best, your Rapha kit ready and start banking some sleep... 'Rapha RIDES' starts this Friday 5 May and involves, as you might imagine, a bunch of rides. This weekend it's Sydney, with Giro viewings followed up by four rides exploring Sydney's best.. then onto 19 other cities worldwide over 6 months.

Rapha love celebrating stuff. It's written down on just about every Rapha web page, publication and press release. This time it's cycling culture worldwide. Starting in May, this celebration starts in Sydney and makes it way around 20 cities through to October.

There's some awesome locations on the list, my picks would be Milan, Boulder and Taipei. But today we're taking Sydney. This Friday you can head to the opening party from 6.30pm at the Rapha Club House Sydney for Stage 1 of the Giro d'Italia and lots of bike talk. Then over the weekend there's four rides to get involved with, the Northside Burn, the Quiet Hotspots, Sunday Best and A Dirty Alternative. The rides have been put together by locals and should open your eyes to some new roads, lanes and mud. Expect rides to be inclusive and for all levels... and accompanied by plenty of good coffee.

As a nice touch, the rides will be made available online as part of a Rapha Rides Roadbook, where you can download the routes, awesome if you're visiting one of the cities on the list.

If you're fully committed to the celebration why not do the full tour of all 20 locations, not a bad way to spend six months if you ask me.
