Ballarat - Cycling holiday with the kids... is it possible?

So Ballarat is not on the top of the list when it comes to many people's 'must' travel destinations... but I'm here to persuade you that as a cyclist, it should be.

A couple of weeks ago, I packed up the car with two bikes, my wife and two young kids to try and achieve the holy grail, a cycling weekend away... with family in tow. Is it possible?

Hells 500 and the Climbing Cyclist are back with their ‘Domestique’ Rides. Today we take a look at the first ride of the summer, the awesome Lake Mountain. It’s the perfect environment to get out in the mountains and test yourself in a friendly, safe and supportive environment.

Audax Australia - Gippsland Gold

The Gippsland Gold is an Audax event set in amongst the Strzelecki Ranges.  200km with3,250m of climbing and the offer to take you along the paths less travelled.  

Along this adventure there’s 120 km of unsealed road, hills and rolling valleys that Gippsland is famous for.

Wal Smith Memorial Casterton '50' Road Race

Saturday 18th April marks the running of the 70th Annual Wal Smith Memorial ‘Casterton 50’ road race. The race remembers one of the true gentleman of Australian cycling, Walter Smith and supports a foundation set up in his name. 

Mike Boudrie previews this long running event held in Victoria’s Western District.
