New Lumo Range on kickstater

Our friends at Lumo have just launched their latest range of urban apparel and after a look at the promotional video we're liking what we're seeing. Here's a quick look at what's available.

CLISSOLD BOMMER JACKET

Inspired by the military issue MA-1 flight jacket, the guys at Lumo have made a few changes to make the jacket fit well on and off the bike. You're not going to look like you're wearing bike kit when you head out to a bar, cafe or wherever you might ride to in this jacket. It's also water resistant and dirt and stain repellent. Nice.

An of course this would not be a Lumo product is it did not light up. Lumo claim 400 metre visability from their lights, there's a white set running alongside the front zipper and a ret set along the tail, all powered by a small USB rechargable batter that fits neatly inside the front of the jacket and gives you 14 hours on a single charge.

We reviewed Lumo's Herne Hill jacket a few months ago, it's become a staple of mine on and off the bike. I'm thinking that the Clissold will be just as good and offers a slightly different look.

Price - RRP Approximately $310 / Kickstarter Price $220

BRIXTON MESSENGER BAG

I'm going to come right out and say it. This bag looks brilliant. It's probably just about the nicest looking messenger bag I've seen if you're looking for something that can make the transition from bike to casual to office without any trouble.

In Lumo style there;s white lights on the strap and a red set along the closing flap. The 14 litre capacity is pretty good and features a padded inner laptop compartment, outer pocket and waist strap and cotton canvas exterior with a  waterproof lining.

Price - RRP Approximately $265 / Kickstarter Price $175

HOLLOWAY GILET

Lumo tell me that this gilet is designed to protect from the unpredictable British weather... well based on that statement it's probably ideal for the super unpredictable Melbourne weather I've been watching out my window today.

Again, this one looks great on and off the bike and will fit right in to both uses. It's made froma quilted water resistant fabric with a mesh lining to help keep you both warm and dry on the bike. It's packable so can be shoved into a bag with ease... and of course it's got the front and rear lighting system to keep you that bit safer.

Price - RRP Approximately $265 / Kickstarter Price $175
