MAKER is back and it’s got prime real estate, an amazing timeslot, and an absurdly good lineup of brands for 2020. When you factor in its place inside the City of Adelaide Tour Village, this is the biggest bike expo on Australian soil. Be sure to follow the Facebook event to get sneak peeks of what the brands will be displaying.

The MAKER/Tour Down Under combination is something extraordinary to see. Near tents filled with Cervelo, Bianchi, or Pinarello will be Bastion, Baum, and Prova. Punters can check out Kask’s latest range of helmets before going to check out custom Australian-made bike bags, wooden indoor bike storage, or womens-specific cycling apparel. We’re very excited it’s back.

WHEN AND WHERE?

It all goes down in Victoria Square at the Northern end of the TDU village on Friday 24 January from 2-10pm. Join the MAKER Facebook Event to get sneak peeks at the awesome swag the brands will bring.

MAKER will wrap itself around the edge of the fantastically fun PACC Roller Frenzy, making Friday night one of the best to be in the City of Adelaide Tour Village.

THE BEST AND BRIGHTEST OF AUSTRALIAN CYCLING

MAKER began as a swap meet/show & shine organised by Treadly Bike Shop but transitioned into an Australian cycling brand showcase in 2017. It happened metres from the Sunday pre-Tour Down Under criterium around the eastern parklands, so drew in significant interest from bike fans. It was a valuable counter-balance to the international-brand dominated Tour Down Under. MAKER has always had free entry for patrons and charges extremely low fees for stallholders.

2019 saw the event given official status from the Tour Down Under, expand to a second date, and get prime real estate inside the Tour Village on Thursday night. It was incredible to see so many of Australia’s best brands in one area, completely free and accessible to everyone. 2020 sees it run through Cycling South Australia, with Treadly Bike Shop recognised a perpetual sponsor and founder.

THE 2020 ROLL CALL

There’s an extraordinary list of brands coming to MAKER. There’s so many frame brands we’ve had to separate them into frame and non-frame. So here they are in no particular order.
