Leeana-Kate James #WhyBeNormal

Why be normal?  If you want it bad enough then set yourself unrealistic goals, push yourself to the limit and then go out and achieve it.

That’s the motto of Leeana-Kate James, an up and coming road and track cyclist that has just signed to the team WhyBeNormal? She's moving across to Milan to race fixed and road bikes, designing cycling apparel and generally doing rad stuff.

Two girls, two Malvern Stars, one gear, lots of ice-cream and the trip of a lifetime

In honour of International Women’s Day I’d like to introduce you to two female cyclists that inspire me. Aged 19 and 21 they left Melbourne way back in 1946, on their Malvern Star bikes for the adventure of a lifetime.

The people behind a'qto - Damian Hanckock and Nancy De Losa.

At La Velocita we love talking to people that make cycling better. Over the last 18 months I’ve got to know Damian Hancock and Nancy De Losa.

They are the passionate husband and wife team behind Melbourne based brand a’qto. I caught up with them at this year's Audax Alpine Classic to talk about what’s next.

Rapha Pop-Up - MELBOURNE

This weekend sees the arrival of Rapha's first pop-up within Australia... and we're excited to see that Melbourne is the host city.

Located in the Heritage listed Coops Shot Tower, on the outskirts of the iconic Melbourne Central building visiting the pop-up is a must.

Rapha Cycle Club

Today we are having a look at the recently established Rapha Cycle Club. The RCC is a club for riders who want to be on the ‘road less travelled’. It’s also a club that is about shared experiences, it is about bringing together those that share the passion, the suffering and embracing the experience that those things bring.

We spoke with some of the Melbourne RCC members to find out what it's all about.

If you're out riding, you'll likely see someone in the distinctive range of MAAP socks and now their extended range of cycling gear is gaining momentum.
