Ol’ Dirty 2016

Since it first kicked off in 2010, the ride as Ol’ Dirty has involved all the things we love most about riding at La Velocita: challenging yourself, exploring new roads, spending quality time with mates, and a detailed knowledge of the history of rap music.

Domestique Baw Baw

The Domestique Baw Baw ride was held on Saturday 13th February in near perfect conditions and attracted record crowds.  It is easily one of Victorias most popular cycling events and attracts riders of all abilities.

Domestique challenges you to step outside of your comfort zone and to inspire riders to go and travel and explore, and to test your limits.

Boxing Day Everest

At La Velocita we love a good Everesting story. So when we heard there was a group of five riders taking on the challenge on Boxing day… when most of us are relaxing… we sent our resident Everesting expert Brendan Edwards along to check it out.

Domestique - Lake Mountain

Hells 500 and the Climbing Cyclist are back with their ‘Domestique’ Rides. Today we take a look at the first ride of the summer, the awesome Lake Mountain. It’s the perfect environment to get out in the mountains and test yourself in a friendly, safe and supportive environment.

This isn’t a race. It’s an experience.

The Dirty Dozen

The 2015 Dirty Dozen is on the 20 September 2015 in Warburton. In its fourth year this awesome event is sure to present some challenging climbing to those that take it on.

La Velocita’s Brendan Edwards spoke with one of the founders of the Australian Dirty Dozen, David Blom to get an insight into what makes it so special.

Hells 500 Ol' Dirty

Last weekend La Velocita’s Brendan Edwards headed out to ride the Hells 500 event “Ol’ Dirty”.

In its fifth year, Ol’ Dirty takes you down the ‘roads’ less travelled, is full of surprises and brings together riders for a day that guarantees good times.

The back of Donna Buang

There are two roads that lead to the summit of Mount Donna Buang, and Brendan Edwards recently headed out to the Yarra Valley to climb the lesser known of the two roads through the stunning Don Valley.
