What is your favourite local ride?

Any ride with friends, especially any ride with the Rowville Riders. A great bunch of guys and ladies who make all Riders welcome no matter what their capabilities.

What is your current cycling goal

My cycling goal this year is the Tour de Cure. This years ride is to raise money to help fight childhood cancers by establishing a new Kids Immuno-oncology Research Program at Peter Mac.

To donate click here, select 'donate to a member' and the type in 'Bill Bouhalis'. Any donation is welcome no matter how small, it all helps. I dedicate one major charity event every year and promote through my FB page Triple B Charity events, as well as doing other smaller events.

When I am on the bike I....

I feel relaxed and regenerated.

How did your love of bikes come about?

A friend of mine of many years Mick Cochrane introduced me to cycling when he raced many years ago and I would just ride with him to keep him company a couple of nights a week when I wasn't playing football, a way of keeping fit. Have never raced just enjoy getting on the bike and riding.

Share a cycling memory

Riding solo from Adelaide to Melbourne to raise money and awareness for the Cochlear Implant clinic in November 2013. Due to my daughter loosing her hearing at the age of 18 some 9 years ago. She has had 2 implants in that time free of charge. They do a wonderful job we here in Australia are leaders in this development.

I love to ride because....

To keep fit, get to see more of the country side on a bike than you do when you run. Also love the comradeship that is built up and the coffee is always good at the end.
