FAVOURITE LOCAL RIDE
Anywhere on Beach Road.
MY CURRENT CYCLING GOAL IS...
...to get faster, whether on the flats or climbing in the hills.
WHEN I AM ON THE BIKE....
I tend to drift, momentarily lost in my own thoughts. But mostly I am just feeling really, really good.
HOW DID YOUR LOVE FOR BIKES COME ABOUT
My former partner is a cyclist and I could see how much he was loving it, so decided to give it a go. I was instantly hooked and have him to thank for introducing me to this fantastic sport.
SHARE A CYCLING MEMORY
I have only been riding 12 months or so and hadn't ridden a bike in 25 years, and never a road bike. In the early days of getting into cycling I thought 5km was a big ride! The most recent memory has to be the achievement of climbing Baw Baw and completing the 7 Peaks Challenge.
I LOVE TO RIDE BECAUSE...
apart from the obvious, health, fitness, I love the exhilaration of riding my bike as fast as I can. I love getting better, faster and stronger, achieving goals, making new friends - definitely for the social side! I love that all important, post-ride coffee!
