Essendon Cyclery Shop Ride

Here at La Velocita we love to see you get out and ride. We want to help you find some new friends and find an excuse to get out and ride.  Over time will be profiling a number of riding groups.

Looking for a ride that caters for a range of abilities in Melbourne's inner North West? Why not try the Essendon Cyclery Shop Ride.

ABOUT

The EC guys put on a shop ride… and they do it well! Gareth Huth, the owner of EC, supports the ride. He ensures that who ever starts the ride finishes it with a smile on their face.  And not in a horrible suck it up kind of way, but with a sense of camaraderie and mateship, along with a few laughs, a few lessons and some helpful tips.

What we really like about this ride is that it truly welcomes all abilities. No one is turned away.  The guys encourage the ‘newbies’ to bunch riding or riding in general to pop in and talk to the guys before the ride for some helpful tips and so that they can be helped along the way if required. Love it.

RIDE

There's a few rides to choose from at EC. The Wednesday night shop ride takes in Melbourne's north west, heading out towards and around the back of Melbourne airport. Lots of nice ups and downs, pinches and a mixture os suburban, industrial and country fringe roads.

Weekend's provide options of Beach Road and rides to the North West or North East.
