Best of the Weekly Rider

The Weekly Rider has passed its 100th rider! Here are some of my favourites from the past 2 and half years, people that live cycling, and live life with a positive attitude.

They are people that are getting it done, no matter what 'it' may be. They are the ones that responses are all about positivity, the ones that made me feel like I could do anything I put my mind to after talking to them.
There's plenty of other awesome Weekly Riders, if you're looking for inspiration take a look that these.
MIKE BOUDRIE
I'm not throwing shade but I've heard a lot of people talk about this thing that you're either a "soul rider" or a "racer"....
Faz is a jack of all trades - lawyer, PhD candidate, university tutor, great hugger and peanut butter destroyer! Faz is one of those people that gets it all done...
Amy Tan is the Weekly Rider! She loves riding, racing and has done some great fundraising for the One Girl charity through her #doitinadress campaign. She's a talker, and manages to find her way into most event photos and is a faithful member of SKCC. We talk to Amy about why she loves to ride.
Jesse Carlsson is the WeeklyRider! He's a former BMX world champion, a theoretical physics PhD, private equity investor, Curve Cycling director and endurance cycling character that is able to push past physical and mental barriers that most of us can't even imagine.
Sam Jeffries is the Weekly Rider! He's ridden from the MCG to Adelaide Oval via the Great Ocean Road in under 60 hours and finished the Peaks Challenge, Falls Creek in 24th, in time of 8:22 in the last couple of months.
Sam describes himself as 'another middle-aged, lycra-clad cycling tragic' but we think that he's a Hells 500 powerhouse that squeezes cycling around his beloved Radelaide Hills, being GM of a digital marketing agency and family. Awesome.
We've been riding with Dan for a few years now and watched her go from stength to strength... She keeps fit, very important for a type 1 diabetic. Sitting down to a meal made by Dan is always an event, she loves feeding others, preparing healthy meals for friends and family to enjoy.
Drinking coffee and eating dark chocolate, my two guilty pleasures in life.
Alex Malone is the La Velocita Weekly Rider! Alex has the dream job of Commercial Manager at Cyclist Australia/NZ magazine.
Always on the hunt for somewhere new to ride Alex loves nothing more than getting away for the weekend to ride and shoot Big Ride features.
Andy van Bergen is the Weekly Rider! Cycling has a lot to thank Andy for... Hells 500, Everesting, Ol'Dirty, climbing, exploring, pushing new limits and of course his work at CyclingTips.
We spoke with Andy about why he loves to ride.
Matthew Keenan is La Velocita's Weekly Rider! We are seriously excited to have one of the top cycling commentators talk with us about why he loves to ride.
Part of the next generation of exciting commentators, he's quickly becoming one of the best known 'voices' in the cycling world. What Matt does not know about the pro peloton and racing is not worth knowing.
Sammi Tsegay is the Weekly Rider! Sammi works as a research scientist at a biotech company, Starpharma Pty Ltd and has a young family... of course he also love to ride.
Cycling is a very important part of his daily life, from the daily commute, to the regular weekday rides with Napier Park Riders and the PeakCycles rides, to the longer weekend rides. Sammi makes the most of every minute to balance riding, family and work!
Think of track cycling and it's likely you'll think of Anna Meares. Anna has found time in her busy day to appear as this weeks La Velocita Weekly Rider! As a 3-time Olympian, 2-time Olympic Champion, ten time world champion across 4 events and 5 time Commonwealth Games champion, Anna Meares is the one to beat when it comes to track cycling.

Bec Tsiamas is the Weekly Rider! She discovered riding 18 months ago and now lives and breaths the sport...
