Bike Gallery

Visiting Bike Gallery is an experience, top end products, housed in a designer environment and accompanied with great coffee. Located in Camberwell, Victoria it's well worth a look.
La Velocita's Mike Boudrie spoke with Cameron McDonald to find out what Bike Callery is all about.

Tell us a bit about Bike Gallery
We opened in November 2010. Bike Gallery has been created to be unique, offering all cyclists a wonderful retail experience and opportunity to share our passion for this glorious sport.
The concept behind the Bike Gallery is simple. It is a bicycle store that provides a relaxed café-like experience for our customers, but with excellent service and products, a professional workshop and fantastic coffee.
The business is owned Lincoln Brown, Cameron McDonald and James Cleaver.
What’s your top recent bike build?
A favourite build recently has been a Pinarello Dogma F8 with Super Record EPS and Lightweight Meilenstein Schwarz Clincher wheels.
What services can you customers expect?
Correct fit and smooth operation are critical to a bicycle. At the Bike Gallery, we treat every bike as if it is our own. The workshop here is absolutely fastidious about having any bicycle that leaves the premises in the same condition that a World Tour rider would expect before each race.
We also have a mezzanine, which houses our fit studio where riders are fitted to their bicycles.
At BG the customer is welcome to come in and enjoy a coffee. We use Synesso Cyncra two group coffee machine and a Mazzer Robur-E grinder. We offer the single origin coffee from AXIL changing each week.
What brands does Bike Gallery stock?
The Bike Gallery stocks a range of the most desirable and esoteric cycling products available, as well as the necessities we can’t live without. Whatever you need to make your ride more enjoyable, the Bike Gallery can provide.
We stock the following bike brands: Pinarello, Cervelo, S-Works, Focus, Black-Inc by Cannondale and Lightweight
Clothing and Accessories: Rapha, MAAP, Pedla, Attaquer, POC, Giro, Enve and Knog.
Tell us about your shop ride
We conduct a weekly shop ride each Saturday morning. Meeting at Bike Gallery at 7AM, we head down to Mordialloc then return to the shop for coffee! An essential part of every ride.
What’s coming up.
Wednesday the 13th May we are hosting the launch of Zwift in Australia from 6PM – 9PM
Bike Gallery is located at 74 Auburn Pde, Hawthorn East VIC 3123

January 2020 saw a surprise entrant at a Tuesday night club criterium: Valtteri Bottas. Here’s the strange story of why he was there, and how my photos ended up in a Finnish lifestyle magazine.
