The guys at Pedla have sent us their very latest kit to review. Today we are looking at the new 'Full Gas Aero Stipe Jersey'. If you are after a race-bred kit that fits like a glove this is well worth a look. Our first impressions are that it is good. Very good.
About Pedla
Pedla have worked hard to develop a range of race inspired kit. Their focus is on performance, technical wear and design. Pedla has worked with M.I.T.I, an Italian company, to develop the fabrics that they use across their range. Their range is printed using sublimation technology, allow the guys at Pedla to get a great level of detail in the prints.
The Pedla - Full Gas - Pro race cut short sleeve jersey
About - The Full Gas Jersey is truly pro-cut; the fit is very close to the body. The jersey is made from a super lightweight, dimple dry aero fabric. This basically means that it is designed to go fast, breathe and dry quickly. The side panels of the jersey are made with mesh that is also designed to wick moisture away from the skin, whilst being odour and bacteria resistant.
Jersey print and colour is a personal thing. We like the range of colours and the clean and simple look of the jersey. The Full Gas Aero Jersey is available in four colour combinations - White/blue stripe, light blue/white stripe, grey/light blue stripe and plum/orange stripe.
Quality - On a first look the quality of the jersey is very high. All the seams are well finished and zips are well weighted and move well. The pockets are a useful size and the level of detail in the design is great.
The materials used in the Full Gas Jersey feel soft to the touch and are super light. Just by feel you can tell it's going to be great on the bike. We'll be wearing this kit over the summer season and will check in with a long term review later.
Ride - Getting the Full Gas Jersey on is easy with it's full length zip. On the bike it fits perfectly. The cut all all about the bike. It's not a relaxed fit, so if that is what you are after you'll need to order up in size. But this Jersey is not about relaxing, it's about giving it your all and going fast, it's designed to be aero and to perform. The Full Gas Jersey did not disappoint. It moves well, it kept us comfortable on an 11 degree morning through to 30+ degrees later in the day.
The technical fabrics do what Pedla say they will do. They wick sweat and keep you comfortable. The silicone griper keeps the jersey nicely in place and the arms stay in place with little to no movement.
